Nice summary of constructive ways to wrap up a workday. The challenge, I find, is to resist the urge to do one or two more things that need doing. Part of the brain knows that reflecting and reviewing and preparing for the next day is a good idea, but another part just wants to keep whittling away the lengthy list of stuff to do or emails awaiting responses.
Thank you. Yes! Totally agree with that feeling. Wonder if you and Wonder Tools can find an app that stops people from working at a certain hour, or one that at least reminds us, it's time to wind down.
Hi Julia, I do like the Mac Screen Time, Downtime and App Limits features, which I have set to automatically turn things off in the late evening so I don't keep working on a screen. I can override the settings, but at least the settings add a little friction and a reminder encouraging me to move on to bedtime routine stuff like reading. I do like the idea of sharing some helpful tools and apps for winding down at the end of a day, including some non-digital resources. Maybe a future post. Thanks for planting the idea.
